Take a day…

Beating ourselves up for resting isn’t restful. It actually just makes us more tired and need more rest (which we never get if we’re in a guilt/shame spiral.) This is self-sabotage to a T. ⁣⁣⁣

It’s not like we started shaming ourselves for no reason though. Grind culture encourages us to run ourselves into the ground. Being overwhelmingly busy is like a badge of honor. ⁣⁣

So I’m here to tell you: It’s OK to slow down. It’s OK to take breaks. It’s OK to pace yourself. I promise! Otherwise we just burn out, and that doesn’t do anyone any good, especially us. ⁣⁣⁣#CoachNiya
